Senior Vice President / Chief Operating Officer

As Senior Vice President and COO of Flintridge, Dean is responsible for development management and real estate project management services. Dean has more than 30 years of diversified experience, including project and engineering management, business development, and professional practice in architecture. His experience covers a wide variety of project types including housing, technology, commercial office and retail, health care, educational, government privatization, infrastructure, industrial and mixed-use developments.

At Flintridge, Dean has been an integral part of the development team for several large housing projects, including the newly completed Hampton Roads Navy bachelor apartments, a $335 million project on three sites in Virginia, and Air Force family housing at six AF bases spread across Texas, Alabama and Mississippi – a $260 million project with 2200 new/renovated homes. He is the primary Flintridge executive leading the Falcon Hill Aerospace Research Park.

Dean co-founded Flintridge after more than 14 years at Fluor Corporation. While at Fluor, he was the Engineering Manager for its new 550,000 SF Corporate Headquarters and Engineering Campus in Aliso Viejo, CA. His experience at Fluor also included program management for projects ranging from facility maintenance programs for General Motors to a performing arts center for the City of Sunnyvale.  As a principal in his own private architectural practice, Dean focused on single and multi-family housing, and has broad expertise in the design of complex, high-density sites.

Dean is a Registered Architect, and holds both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of British Columbia.
