University of Hawaii & Mixed-Use Community at West O’ahu

University of Hawaii & Mixed-Use Community at West O’ahu
Kapolei, ‘Ewa, on the island of O’ahu in Hawaii
New UH Campus (Phase 1) & University Village and Private Mixed-Use Community
Past Project
Total Development Cost:  Approximately $150 Million

In the 2005 awarded public/private partnership with the University of Hawaii, Flintridge Partners led the Development Management on behalf of the Hunt Development Group team in the master planning, community design, financing, and construction of this 500 acre mixed-use project. The integrated mixed-use community was anchored by the new 150 acre West O’ahu Campus, surrounded by a University Village and a 2500 unit residential community.  Two community retail shopping areas were included for the convenience of the community and surrounding neighborhoods.  After nearly two years of the entitlement process and negotiations, our team withdrew from the project due to the eroding economic conditions occurring in the US. UHWO subsequently received state funds and constructed the initial phase of the campus.
